What is IR sensor?
we will discuss about what is IR sensor, types of IR sensors, working of IR sensor and where it is used.
What is a Sensor or What are Sensors ?
Sensors are device that are used to measure physical quantity and convert them into a signal which can be easily read by an observer or by an equipment.
Nowadays, sensors are used in our daily life, best example for sensor is our skin which senses various objects, another example is our eyes will senses light and many other things.
Applications of sensors, in cars, in street lights, in robotics etc.
Some Main Types of Sensors
01. IR Sensor
02. Sound Sensor
03. Temperature Sensor
In this article, we will discuss only about IR sensor.
First we will tell you what is the full form of IR sensor, IR stands for Infrared Radiation. Symbol of IR sensors are shown below.

01. Infrared sensor works on the bases or principle of emitting infrared rays and the reflected ray from object is received by a receiver i.e., photo diode.
02. The IR source will continuously passes IR rays, if the IR rays fall on any object the rays get reflected and reflected ray will be received by IR receiver nothing but photo-diode and than photo-diode completes the circuit foe buzzer to make noise.
02. Infrared Radiation source (LED) is used in forward bias.
03. Infrared Radiation receiver (photodiode) is used in reverse bias.
So guys operation of IR Sensor is so simple na.......
